The London Plane Tree

Found in most parks and along the length of many streets in London. It has an unusual looking, distinctive, dappled bark which functions to ensure the tree’s longevity and survival. As the bark flakes, it sheds pollutants absorbed that would otherwise prevent air from reaching the trunk.

Not too dissimilar to our own natural processes of change and evolution. At times, we too need to intentionally shed what no longer serves us in our lives and what might stifle our potential for personal growth and self-discovery.
